The client

RIWI is a code school based in Columbia. RIWI educates and employs developers through fully funded scholarships.

There is a shortage of developers worldwide, and Colombia is no exception. Today the country needs 80,000 developers, and by 2025 it will need 112,000. In response, RIWI was born, totally free for students; a 100% sponsorship, with no economic commitment at the end of the program.

How did we help?

We created an entirely new brand, visual system and website design for RIWI. working to deliver a brand foundation which can be applied both digitally and physically.

Brand strategy

We worked with RIWI to produce a new brand that is approachable and speaks to their offering and personality. We arrived at a wordmark logo which embodies common elements of coding. We worked to ensure that the RIWI brand immediately connects with developers. We also developed a playful secondary color palette and application system which gives the brand a delightful feel.

The new website

RIWI’s new website was designed to clearly communicate the value of RIWI to both students and potential employers. We landed on a simple navigation system which allows viewers to quickly identify content relevant to them. Visually, we worked to embody a happy feel, showcasing students partaking in the RIWI experience.

The result

In partnering with RIWI we produced a scalable brand system designed to clearly communicate the joy of a career in development. The end-result is an expression of coder lifestyle which produces a feeling of excitement and potential.
